Here's an album to check out, Wild Blue & True from @markusrill http://www.markusrill.net I'm not very good a reviews, but I'm really enjoying this album & there are some great songs to be heard on it. I won't list every song but I'll pick a few favourites instead, starting with the two opening songs Wild Blue True-Hearted Man & Your Own Private Rainbow, a great way to kick off the album. Skinny Teddy stood out from the very first time I heard it, a brilliantly told story about a boxer, it's a song that'll stick in your head. The Boy Who Never Was My Friend & Girl Of Many Secrets are not just great songs but also draw you into the stories being told. Another highlight of the album for me is Time To Go, a deeply heartfelt & sad tale, it'll make you stop & listen & you'll be moved by the lyrics. The album finishes with Falling Into Place, I rather like the simple arrangement & space for the lyrics & melody to shine. Excellent album, one I think I'll be listening to quite often I think. The rest of the album is equally as good, Markus is a great storyteller & it shows in all the songs.
